will this cost me money ?
Today I'm in the back garden and smell smoke, I looked about and saw flames coming from a neighbours garden , I Immediately called 999 for a fire brigade and rushed, ( walked a bit quick) round to their house, they did not know the fire was happening so, the neighbour jumped in gear and put it out with a hose pipe, When the fire brigade arrived the fire was out,
Now I'm wondering, will they charge me ?
what my camera's caught

If you get charged maybe your neighbour could charge the fire brigade for doing their job for them!

No Tom. They won't charge you for doing the right thing, which is what you did.

Your prompt action even though not needed could have saved a lot of damage. You could not know that your neighbour was able to put the fire out before the fire brigade arrived. People like yourself must not be afraid to call for any emergency service if they think they are required

If in doubt call them out was/is one of the slogans used by the emergency services.

Yes Tommy that's my Jolly Rodger flying under the George cross, Last Month I was flying the ' lest we forget' flag and I change them about frequently , Who knows what I'll fly next ???
The neighbough had a plastic greenhouse at the back of his garage and had paraffin heaters in there to protect his plants and somehow the heaters alighted the greenhouse, he's lucky because had the fire caught hold of the garage, his car is inside and would have caused devastation, Phew!!!!
